Get found to your customers - 01/28/2009
A few quick and easy steps in search engine optimization (SEO) will increase the likelihood that clients will be able to find your items and buy it.

Use keywords throughout your item details - Think of multiple terms that people might use when searching for something which your art and craft item relates to and sprinkle these terms, liberally, throughout the item details when posting your item. Include these keywords in your item name - title and brief description. Be cautious not to overuse any single term. You may edit the item name and description of already posted items by logging into the website, click on MY Pages at the top and then from the left menu under seller panel select MY Items. Click on images to edit image details and on item name to edit the item details
- Use HTML tags to make your keywords bold and underlined - Placing some terms in bold and/or underlined text can help point search engines in the right direction. Use HTML editor in description box to make phrases bold and underline.
- Link to your SKP art-n-craft profile. The engines pay attention to who is linking to you, how many links you have, and what the linking keyterms are. Write online articles in as many webpages and blogs as possible, linking to your profile page from your keywords (described above), using your Friendly URL. To find your Friendly URL, click on "My Pages " after logging in. You will find your link under the heading My Summary. Something like http://www.art-n-craft.skp.net/miniprofile/54/queen

Follow these instructions to add your Friendly URL to some of the most popular e-mail providers.
Google / Gmail- Click "Settings" in the upper right-hand portion of your screen.
- Select the button to add a custom signature.
- Insert your SKP art-n-craft profile signature. It will not appear as a clickable link in your e-mail signature, but people can cut-and-paste your Friendly URL into their browser?s address bar.
- Click "Save Changes" when finished.
